Announcing…the birth of Boaz Joshua Nelson on Thanksgiving Day!We have much to be thankful for. Even though Cindy only got Thanksgiving leftovers this year, all the Nelsons are so blessed by the new addition – a sweet, healthy baby boy! Weighing 7 pounds, 12 ounces, he arrived with strong lungs after strong labor.
Boaz means “by strength”. It is not only the name of the great-grandfather of King David in the Bible, but the book of Ruth shows what a godly and compassionate man he was. We pray that our little Boaz will be strong in the Lord and good to the poor and the stranger. Boaz was also the name of one of the two pillars in Solomon’s temple. May our baby boy overcome and be a pillar in the temple of our God.
Joshua means “the Lord will save”. Two prophetic words over him before he was born speak to God’s call on his life to testify of Jesus, whose name is a derivative of Joshua. May Boaz be “strong and very courageous” as Joshua was encouraged to be and may he stay close to the Lord always as Joshua did, a mighty man of valor.
We are so humbled to be given such wonderful children for our quiver. Each one fashioned to hit the target of God’s loving plan and to bring Him glory.
Thank you for rejoicing with us and for your prayers and love.
Israel, Cindy, Noah, Maggy, Sarel, Yonah, Tal, Song and BoazJ
