In July, we stayed at Mary's sister Rita's place on the Cape near South Dennis (actually, South Dennis is in the middle of the Cape, about half way between Cape Cod Bay on the north and Nantucket Sound on the south). Highlights of our vacation were good food, good companionship and, of course, beach time! We first checked out the West Dennis Beach (Rita's favorite), which is on the south side of the Cape. Next was Chapin Beach (our favorite from many years back) near Dennis and the Cape Playhouse (which we also visited). Also got to the Mayflower Beach, just east of Chapin Beach. Did I mention that East Dennis is actually east of Dennis!!It should also be noted that when folks from Massachusetts talk about visiting Cape Cod, they never say they are going "down to the Cape." Rather, it's always we're going "down the Cape!"
