HSGHSL -- Field Directory

From I-95 south, take exit 143B (west toward Garrisonville) and continue on Garrisonville Road (Rte. 610) for about 5 milesand turn left onto Joshua Road (Rte 643). Take Joshua Road to a "T" intersection with Mountain View Road (Rte. 627). Turn right onto Mountain veiw Road and proceed approximately 1 mile. Turn left onto Willowmere Pond Road and then turn right into Willowmere Park. Turn left when in the part to reach the parking lot and soccer fields (the soccer fields are in the back of the complex to the left of the baseball fields). If you reach the intersection of Mountain View Road and Poplar Road (Rte 616, you went about 1 mile west beyond Willowmere Pond Road. DO NOT PARK ON WILLOWMERE POND ROAD. (Limited cell phone reception in this area - beward. Also, plan for traffic on I-95 accordingly.)

Capital One Park (1680 Capital One Drive, Mclean, VA NOVA-8D9)

North on Rte. 123 under I-495, left on Capital One Drive, right into parking lot A at main North field. Or, north on Rte. 123 under I-495, left on Scotts Crossing Road, pass parking lot C and pond, left into parking lot B at smaller South/ABCD field. Field users must park in the designated parking lots A, B, or C only. Do not park along the roads leading into or within the facility.

75 James Ashby Parkway/Fredericksburg, VA 22405 Map

From I-95, take exit 133A east towards Falmouth. Continue on Warrenton Road (Business Route 17). Proceed through the traffic light at the intersection with Jefferson Davis Highway (Route 1). The road becomes Route 212 (Butler Road). Follow signs for Route 218 east and proceed over the bridge and take a right onto Route 607. Follow Route 607 to intersection with Kings Highway (Business Route 3) and turn left. Follow signs for Kings Highway (Route 3) east. Duff Park will be on right side of Route 3. The main field is the one with lights. The other field is for practice and makeup games. Madison High School

From the Tyson's Corner side of Vienna, South on Rte. 123, right on James Madison Dr., dead end at school. Rear entrance: South on Rte. 123, right on Flint Hill Rd., right on Sunrise Rd., dead end at school.

Clarks Crossing (9850 Clarks Crossing Road, Vienna 22182)

From 123/Maple Avenue northbound, left onto Beulah Rd., left onto Clarks Crossing Rd (be careful of oncoming traffic) to end. Very little parking in spaces; be sure not to block residences.

Colvin Run (Map: NOVA, 7-E5)

From I-495, take Route 7 (Leesburg Pike) past Tysons Corner. Follow 7 West for about 5 miles. Cross over Dulles Toll Road (267). Turn left on Trap Road. Field is near Colvin Run Elementary School on your right at 1400 Trap Road.

Greenspring (Map: NOVA, 22 F-12)

Visiting team is on west side of field (nearest Greenspring Village); home team is on east side (nearest entrance to field).

From Fairfax. South on Fairfax County Pkwy/John F (Jack) Herrity Pkwy/VA-7100 S. Go 1 mile past Rolling Rd. Left onto Spring Village Dr. Parking lot 0.1 mile on Left.

From North/East. South on I-95/I-495/I-395 to Springfield Interchange (local, do not take I-95 flyover). Merge onto Old Keene Mill Rd/VA-644 W toward Springfield. Right onto Backlick Rd. Left onto Bland St. Left onto Amherst Ave/VA-617 S (to cross over Old Keene Mill Rd). Continue 0.7 mile. Right to merge onto VA-7900 W/Franconia-Springfield Pkwy. Go 0.5 mile. Right onto Spring Village Dr.

From areas South. I-95 N toward Washington. Take the Backlick Rd exit (166B) toward Fullerton Rd. Merge onto Fairfax County Pkwy/John F (Jack) Herrity Pkwy/VA-7100 crossing over I-95. Merge onto Backlick Rd/VA-617 N. Go 2 miles to turn Left onto VA-7900 West /Franconia-Springfield Pkwy. Go 0.5 mile. Right onto Spring Village Dr.

Hooes Road #2 (7233 Hooes Road, Springfield 22150) (Map: NOVA, 22 F-13)

From the Parkway (see directions above for Greenspring), turn south on Bonniemill Lane (if you went north you'd turn on Spring Village Drive into Greenspring). Take an immediate left on Hooes Road. Go two blocks and turn right into Hooes Road Park. Fields are beyond the tennis courts -- #2 is on the left. Parking is being expanded. Porta-Johns available.

Idyllwood 15-C (27715 Virginia Lane, Falls Church 22043)

From 495N, take Rt 7/Leesburg Pike (exit 10 A-B) towards Falls Church/Tysons Corner.
Keep right at the fork in the ramp and merge onto Rt. 7 East towards Falls Church.
Take a right onto Idyllwood Rd.
Take a left onto Virginia Ave. Idyllwood Park is on right.

From Cedar Lane, take a right on Idyllwood Rd.
Proceed to right on Virginia Ave. Idyllwood Park is on right.

Kilmer (8100 Wolftrap Road, Vienna 22182)

From 495, take Exit 10 Route 7 East (Leesburg Pike) towards Falls Church.

Go about 1 mile, turn right on Idyllwood Rd. (You will cross over I-495).

Go about 2 miles and turn right on Gallows Rd.

Proceed 1 block past the next traffice light (Cedar Lane) and turn left on Wolftrap Rd. (Fire Station on corner)

Kilmer Middle School is on the right. Fields are behind the school.

Or

From 495, take Exit 9, I-66 East toward the next exit, Exit 66 Route 7 West (Leesburg Pike) towards Tysons Corner.

Go under I-66, 1 addtional block to left on Idyllwood Rd.

Go about 2 miles and turn right on Gallows Rd. (You will cross over I-495)

Proceed 1 block past the next traffice light (Cedar Lane) and turn left on Wolftrap Rd. (Fire Station on corner)

Kilmer Middle School is on the right. Fields are behind the school. about 2 blocks and Turn Left on Wolftrap Rd. (Fire Station on corner).

Lake Braddock Lower 9450 (Lake Braddock Drive, Burke 22015)

From 495, take Braddock Road South Exit. Angle left on Burke Lake Road (just before the Kings Park Shopping Center), heading south, and then take a right at the first stoplight past Lake Braddock High School onto Lake Braddock Road. Go about a half a mile. Field is on your right (with a sign).

Murphy Field at Dunn Loring Center (2334 Gallows Road, Dunn Loring 22027)

From 123/Maple Avenue northbound, Right (east) on Park St., left on Cedar Lane, right on Idylwood Rd., left into Center. Parking is prohibited on the grass along Idylwood Rd.

Nottoway (Bathrooms Availble at Field) 14-D3 (9537 Courthouse Road, Vienna 22181)

From the Beltway take 66 West., Exit to Nutley St North toward Vienna. Left at Courthouse Rd. Left into Nottoway Park. Follow road all the way back, bearing right to field.

Oak Marr Recreation Complex (3200 Jermantown Road, Oakton 22124) ( Bathrooms available at the field)

From 495 take exit onto I-66 West. Proceed to Exit 60 Rt. 123 North Chain Bridge Road. Toward Vienna and Oakton. Proceed 1/2 mile and turn left on Jermantown Rd. ( Rt. 655). Oak Marr Recreation Complex (3200 Jermantown Rd.) is about 1/2 mile on the right. Turn right at the light at Arrowhead Drive into the complex. Bear left and go past the miniature golf course. Fields are near the back of the parking area.

Patawomeck Park (25 Chompawamsic Parkway Stafford, Va 22555)

From the north: I95 South to Quantico Exit 148 (the second Quantico exit). Turn left at the bottom of the ramp and go about 0.5 mile bearing right onto Route 1 south. About 1 mile south on Route 1, at the second traffic light turn left onto Telegraph Road (Boswell’s Corner traffic light, Chevron, Bella Bagel and several car dealerships near). Proceed on Telegraph Rd about 0.5 mile and turn left on Widewater Road. The park entrance with large sign is on the right about a 0.8 mile down Widewater on Chompawamsic Parkway. Two grass fields with lights. Restrooms.

Can also exit at the first Quantico exit 150A, continue around cloverleaf to Joplin Road (Rt 619) and continue to Route 1. Turn right on Route 1 and in about 2 miles you can follow the directions above (there is at least one additional light on Rt. 1 at the Marine Corps Museum).

Patriot Park (Turf field -12111 Braddock Road, Fairfax, VA 22030)

Map Reference: ADC Northern Virginia Map 20-A1 Address: From I-66 - Exit onto Fairfax County Parkway (7100) South. Take the Braddock Road exit. Turn left at the bottom of the exit ramp, cross under 7100 and field is on the right behind the Mott Community Center. From Fairfax County Parkway North Bound - Exit onto Braddock Road and drive straight across Braddock Road at the bottom of the ramp into park.

Pine Ridge #5 (3401 Woodburn Road, Annandale 22003)

From the south, I-495 north to Gallows Road exit 51, turn left on Gallows Road, cross over I-495 and turn left at the first traffic light at Woodburn Road, Pine Ridge Park is 0.3 miles on your left.

From the north, I-495 south to Gallows Road exit 51, straight across Gallows Road at the traffic light to Woodburn Road, Pine Ridge Park is 0.3 miles on your left.

On surface streets from Braddock Road, take Wakefield Chapel Road to Rt. 236, turn left on Rt. 236 to Woodburn Road (one street before Prosperity), turn right on Woodburn Road and go past Fairfax County Police Substation and turn right at stop sign, continue to follow Woodburn Road approximately 1 1/2 miles to Pine Ridge Park on the right.

On surface streets from Rt. 29/211 (Merrifield), take Gallows Road south passing Inova Fairfax Hospital on your right, turn right on Woodburn Road at the traffic light, Pine Ridge Park is 0.3 miles on your left.

Field #5 is the second field on the left of the parking lot. Porta potties are in the far right corner of the parking lot..

Rolling Valley West (6512 Sydenstricker Road, Burke 22015) is located on Sydenstricker Road just off of Old Keene Mill Road. Many ways to get there; some suggestions:

From I-495 (southbound)(outer loop) take Exit 54 Braddock Road west (to avoid downtown Springfield) approximately 2 miles to left on Burke Lake Road at the traffic light. Take Burke Lake Road almost 3 miles to left on Lee Chapel Road at the traffic light. Take Lee Chapel Road approximately 1/2 mile to left on Old Keene Mill Road at the traffic light. Take Old Keene Mill Road approximately 1/3 mile to right on Sydensticker Road at the traffic light. Take Sydenstricker Road approximately 1/4 mile to RVW on the right.

From I-95, take Rt 644/Old Keene Mill Road west approximately 5 miles to left on Sydenstricker Road at the traffic light. Take Sydenstricker Road approximately 1/4 mile to RVW pm the right.

From Fairfax County Parkway, take Rt 644/Old Keene Mill Road east approximately 1 and 1/3 miles to right turn on Sydenstricker Road at the traffic light (you will cross straight over Lee Chapel Road at the traffic light). Take Sydenstricker Road approximately 1/4 mile to RVW on the right.

As you leave the parking lot and walk between the basketball courts and tennis courts, the SYC-RVW field is the upper field on the left. Porta-potties available. No water.

Smith Lake - Stafford County(370 Doc Stone Road Stafford, VA 22556)

From I-95, take exit 143B, follow Garrisonville Rd (Rte 610) west about ¾ mile. At your 3rd light, turn right onto Doc Stone Rd (near Anne Moncure Elementary School). Follow Doc Stone Rd to 4-way stop sign, then continue straight (road bends a little at the stop sign) on Doc Stone Rd for 1 mile until you get to the reservoir and the Park. Parking is limited, so car pool as much as possible. Bathroom facilities are available.

South Run 27-D2 (7550 Reservation Drive, Springfield 22153)

From 95 - Take Springfield exit at junction of 495 and 95, which is Old Keene Mill Road (do not go toward Franconia). Stay on Old Keene Mill Road for about 6 miles and turn left on Lee Chapel Road. Follow Lee Chapel until junction of Fairfax County Parkway. Take left on the Fairfax County Parkway and fields are on right. Note: Due to construction, Lee Chapel Road is temporarily closed to Fairfax County Parkway. Therefore, stay on Old Keene Mill Road all the way to Fairfax County Parkway and turn left. Go about 3/4 mile and the fields are on the right.

(Or, going west on Old Keene Mill Rd., turn left on Huntsman Blvd. (second light after intersection of Old Keene Mill & Rolling Rd.). Go through one four-way stop (Sydenstricker) and then turn right at the light onto the Fairfax County Parkway. Turn left at the next light into South Run Park.)

From Fairfax City - Take Route 123 South about 2 or 3 miles and go past Braddock Road. Shortly past Burke Center Parkway, you will turn onto Fairfax County Parkway South which is toward Springfield. Stay on Fairfax County Parkway and just past the intersection of Lee Chapel Road you will see a traffic light with South Run Park on the right.

Wakefield (Turf Field - 8100 Braddock Road, Annandale 22003)

From 495, take Exit 54 onto Braddock Rd. West. Take an immediate right into Wakefield Park. Field is behind main recreation building.

- From Braddock Road, turn south on Rolling Road, approximately 2 miles to WSHS on the right.
- From 1-95, take Rt 644 West (Old Keene Mill Road) 3 miles to Rolling Road, turn right and proceed approximately 1/2 mile to WSHS on the left.
- From FFX County Parkway, take Rt 644 Old Keene Mill Road approximately 4 miles to Rolling Road, turn left and proceed approximately 1/2 mile to WSHS on the left.
Field is behind the school and upper parking lot. Porta-potties available on the field. Toilets may be available in the school.

From 495, take Exit 52 onto Rt. 236 West (Little River Turnpike). Go past Northern Virginia Community College and turn right on Woodburn Rd. (just a block before Prosperity Ave.). Turn right into Fairfax County Police SOD station. Field is behind Police station. You may go through the parking lot to the field.
